About
Mission Statement
My happiness which revolves around consuming content in the categories of: anime, games, and programming.
I believe web3 has the potential to create exponential benefits to my consumption.
Values
Priorities to focus on to meet current goals.
- Security
- Interoperability
- Scaling
Principles
Both values and principles may change but the goal of principles is to be permanent.
WIP
- Publically only uplift people. Rant privately. Only present a problem if it's proceeded with a possible solution
- Always be respectful. Actually think about what it means to be respectful
- Avoid sarcasm
- Always thank people for engaging in discourse with you
- Always consider the other person's feeling of being wrong especially publically
- State your intentions but never make promises.
- "Under promise over deliver" doesn't work. People just adjust accordingly
- "Probably nothing" is worse than saying nothing
- State your intentions and then let it be easy for others to verify
- Apology does not prevent habitual mistakes, only reward/punishment can break a bad habit
- Pessimism is pointless when the cost of doing something vs nothing is same
-
Avoid the word "deserve". Life is unfair. Instead of focusing on what society can give you, focus on what you can give to society.
That way, people come to you instead of the opposite.
- Money can't buy back time, reputation or your privacy
- The main components of success are: passion/focus, priority/sacrifice, exploitation/leverage, open-minded/humble/adaptable, and habit/diligence
- Always challenge your principles to strengthen them
- If you hold other people's money, you are equally responsible for the funds being stolen.
- Support everyone but support more those that support you and less to those that don't
- Support is not binary. Always consider everything relevant
- You don't know what you don't know. Find ways to challenge this
- Find the truth but understand you could always be wrong
- Give people the benefit of the doubt. Reduce the time you spend with those you doubt
- Realism is easier to validate than "beauty". Build beauty on top of realism
- Remember the gems are where everyone else hasn't looked.
- Learn to embrace losing while doing something hard not winning doing nothing. Easy wins don't last
NFT Ideals
- Infinite mint. Auctioned
- Burn to get ETH back
- No royalties
- Build in web2. Build web3 only when web2 can't solve the problems
- The treasury should be transparent. It should be clear what is given to the creator personally
and what is given to the project for future development
Tokenomic/Governance Ideals
- Emission rate should be a flat number not a %
- Those that vote should have a long-term view enforced by vetting schedule
Stable coin Ideals
- Should always be over-collaterized
- Stable coins based on solely on trust will always fail when it is optional. Fiat only works because it's legally forced upon us
- Stable coin will fail if protocols are not actually using it other than for financial markets.
Needs to provide actual utility as a bridge between web2 and web3. Ideally projects should consider 1/3 stable, 2/3 ETH in treasury
- It's better to softly push a coin towards stability over time than to force it
