• Transience

"The transience of life and happiness." This artwork represents my current knowledge and experience as an artist and as a person. I often look and compare myself to others. Their success, their achievement, etc. But, in the end I end up hurting myself, emotionally. That took away the joy, I should've build by trusting myself more. It is a learning process, that I believe everyone is having it too. I learned this Japanese word, "Wabi-sabi" In the past, to put it simply, it means to understand emptiness and imperfection. In modern world today, it means "wisdom in natural simplicity". (flawed beauty) (wikipedia) This wisdom taught me to accept and to embrace, the imperfection, which is perfectly fine. Richard Powell said, "Wabi-sabi nurtures all that is authentic by acknowledging three simple realities: "Nothing lasts, Nothing is finished, Nothing is perfect" Twitter. @soritoea Artist: Soritoea Tools: Adobe Photoshop, Wacom Tablet Dimension: 4000 x 6000 px , 300 dpi Year: 2023
